I have a new obsession and it's with Fiona's Natural Foods! Their products are delicious because they are made in small batches and hand tosses to produce the best quality ingredients! Everything is certified gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegan. There is a variety of options like their trail mix, oatmeal and granola. The founder, a Boulder native, Fiona loved making her granola recipe for friends and soon the word got out. Eventually it was picked up by Boulder Whole Foods and her granola turned into a full-time business to keep up with the demand.
CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE
After visiting Fiona's headquarters, I learned that their kitchen space and the entire building is certified gluten free. This is very important because it is rare to find other local brands with the same vision of being gluten free and a space that hasn't been contaminated with gluten.
REVIEW
GRANOLA: My favorite flavor is the Cinnamon Almond Granola. It is sweetened with organic coconut nectar and has the perfect number of almond slivers to the rolled oats. If you aren’t a fan of almonds, then I highly recommend the Vanilla Coconut Granola. All the granola flavors are delicious and there is something for everyone.
OATMEAL: The Cherry Pecan Oatmeal might be the best thing I have ever served my favorite vegan, Margaux with Gaux Vegan. She and I both raved about how good it was when made with almond milk. You won’t need to add anything because it packs so much flavor.
TRAIL MIX: Both trail mixes are packed with dried fruits and nuts so I have had a hard time choosing which is my favorite. If I must choose, I really love the coconut and banana chips in the Jungle Mix. It has a tropical flavor that transports me to warmer temperatures. The Mountain Mix is also delicious if you are craving chocolate. Their vegan chocolate chips (sugar chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lechithin and vanilla) taste as delicious as a non-vegan chocolate chip.
WHERE TO FIND IT
You can now find Fiona's at Sprouts, Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage and King Soopers.
