Spring Fling, Do your Ginger Beer Thing

Who is ready for Spring?!

It has been a frigid 16 degrees and snowy in Denver. The cold has made me stir crazy. I guess you could say I have Spring Fever and I am embracing it. I have begun planning my next girls night and my cocktail creations went over so well that everyone is looking forward to what I have up my sleeve. I recently discovered my new favorite ginger beer by Barritt's. It's refreshing, bold, not too sweet and has the perfect amount of ginger taste to it. Barritt's Ginger Beer is also non-alcoholic and can be found to Argonauts, Molly's, or Walmart.

Here are the two recipes I am looking at:

Kentucky Mule

2 OZ Bourbon 4 OZ Barritt's Ginger Beer

Build in given order. Garnish with mint.

Mexican Mule

1 oz St Germain 2 oz Sazerac Rye Whiskey 2 dashes Angostura Bitters 1 oz Lemon Juice 2 oz Barritt's Ginger Beer

Shake all ingredients except Barritt's and strain into ice-filled glass. Add Barritt's. Garnish with lemon wheel.
